Maria Byrne. WPICC

Hello! My name is Maria, and I am the Owner and Lead Coordinator of MByrne Events. I’m also a proud mom of two wonderful boys, and I cherish spending time with my family and friends whenever I can.

​

My professional background is in Health Care Administration, where I’ve been managing day-to-day operations in both private and public clinics since 2012. My experience includes coordinating patient schedules, organizing clinic logistics, and leading teams of clerks and coordinators. This foundation has shaped my strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage fast-paced environments with ease.
 

In 2017, my high school sweetheart got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. As I began planning our 2019 wedding, I quickly realized that the process brought me so much joy and fulfillment. What started as planning my own special day turned into a passion for helping others create meaningful and beautifully organized celebrations.

Over the past several years, I’ve had the pleasure of planning events for family and friends. In early 2023, I took the next step and became a certified Wedding Planner through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada Inc., officially launching MByrne Events.

​

Today, I am dedicated to helping couples bring their vision to life while creating a seamless and stress-free planning experience from start to finish.

Ariel 

Lead and Event Planner 

Ariel joined the MByrne Events team in Spring 2025 and has hit the ground running. Organized, professional, and an excellent communicator, she brings fresh energy and a strong eye for detail to every event she supports.​ She has also played a key role in expanding and enhancing our décor rental process, helping to streamline offerings and improve the overall client experience.​ Ariel is dedicated to ensuring each celebration runs seamlessly, with a focus on creating a smooth and stress-free experience for every client. Her commitment shines through in everything she does, and with Ariel on the team, couples can feel confident knowing that even the smallest details are thoughtfully managed.

Julie

Event Planner 

Julie officially joined the MByrne Events team in 2024, but her history with Maria goes back much further. The two first worked together during their school council days, organizing events and discovering their shared passion for bringing people together.  During the week, Julie works as Child and Youth Worker, but on weekends she loves helping clients celebrate life’s biggest moments. Her attention to detail, strong time management skills, and warm, friendly smile make her a favourite among couples and guests alike. Julie is always ready to jump in and help however she can, ensuring every event runs seamlessly.

Kavita 

Event Planner 

Kavita is the newest member of the MByrne Events team, bringing a fresh perspective along with all the qualities we value in an exceptional planner. Originally from Guyana, with a background in social work, which shines through in her compassionate approach and strong ability to connect with clients. With a natural eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a calm, supportive presence, Kavita plays an integral role in ensuring each event runs seamlessly. Her dedication, empathy, and positive energy make her a wonderful addition to our team.
